Excellent and relaxing way to travel with beautiful music
We are very happy with this purchase from Amazon. We bought most of the travel with music Amazon offers. We will continue to order the other countries tours with music.
Relaxing, but not quite as good as it could be ~
This is a DVD containing two Mozart concertos: The concerto for Clarinet and the concerto for Oboe. The program notes list the actual recording for each (which are available through Naxos records). The performances are what you would expect: good, clean Mozart style chamber orchestra music.
I was worried that there would be only still photos, luckily there are not. The DVD instead has sweeping recorded shots. Many even include tourists as they walk around, so it is in real time (except one slowed down sequence). The best I think was the graveyard in Salzburg. The music and mood fit very well. There were also fun little montages of Mozart's house and other little bits.
The two head scratchers for me were the Vienna treasury (I actually started drifting off at that point!) and the spa resort village, I don't recall the name, but it was the third locale. There was a restaurant called 'Nannerl' after Mozart's sister, but I failed to see the connection to...
