Naxos Scenic Musical Journeys Chateaux of the Loire

The Amateurish Over-zooming will make you sick!
It's rare that anyone given such beautiful and interesting material as the many chateaux in France's Loire Valley can manage to make such an incredibly bland and boring video.
However this "cameraman" (Ha!) manages to do just that, ....and so constantly!

I purchased this musical tour, hoping that it would at the very least capture something of the beauty and charm of the architecture and the exquisite settings.
However so often the viewer is completely unnerved by amateurish quick panning and the repeated rapid "bouncing" in and out of the zoom function. Quite off-putting, ...and reminiscent of some beginners first experiments with their newly purchased camera.

To this mess must be added the music of Chopin.
Now while I am a great fan of the man's waltzes and polkas, it must be said that they are quite unsuitable as music for what are all in effect French Gothic to Renaissance constructions, .....and the editor seems determined to bounce the zoom...

Nice travel log
Great music to wonderfu and beautiful countryside. So nice to have a travel log without a human voice explaining everything. The music lends such a peaceful feeling when viewing the scenery.

Excellent purchase!
I purchased this for my interest in castles and their history. The program is well thought out and worthy of the purchase. I would prefer some vocal commentary; which there is none, only classical piano music by Chopin. The piano is nice and does provide a soothing touch to the program.
