The Best of the Lot
I have chosen to review A Musical Tour of Paris first because it has some beautiful night video of Paris and the surrounding area. When I got my blu-ray player I realized that the entire musical journey series was released in 1080HD and has outstanding sound. If you play them on a regular DVD player you won't see them in HD. This is an interesting choice by Naxos, since they were all released in a 4:3 aspect ratio. If you have a 16:9 monitor, you should watch them in the original aspect ratio or the picture will be distorted. You can still get a beautiful picture in 4:3, but not as satisfying as a picture that fills the whole screen.
Naxos has made some other interesting choices. The menu system is crude, to say the least. Paris has music from 14 composers on this DVD from Wagner to Satie. If you know your classical composers, it's pretty easy to identify those two, but some of the others are problematical. A brief list of the locales appears before each chapter, but the...

A Great way to see beautiful Paris is with beautiful music. The music moods always seem to fit the Paris views.
Feels like your there, just taking a stroll.
I would recommend any Naxos videos. I can't wait to purchase more. The next best thing to being there on Holiday.
